In no particular order, here are twenty things I will always remember about my roommate and girlfriend, Kayla

1. The conversation we had on the first day we met in our dorm room. 

2. The radiant smile and playful laugh my roommate had. 

3. The nights we spent talking together until the wee hours of the morning.

4. Their unforgettable, compassionate gaze.

5. His bold honesty and sincere kindness made me feel safe and understood. 

6. His amazing sense of style, from the way he dressed to the way he decorated our room.

7. His infectious enthusiasm for life and all the things he was passionate about. 

8. The way he challenged me to think and learn new things.

9. His unwavering support and understanding through all my college struggles.

10. The unconditional love I felt for him.

11. My shock at discovering what a beautiful woman my roommate made himself into. 

12. How I couldn't take my eyes off her whenever she was in the room.

13. The admiring glances we would get from other people when we were walking together, which made me feel proud.

14. The intense feelings of passion and desire I felt whenever I was around her.

15. How my heart skipped a beat every time we touched, even in the little things.

16. Our shared moments of playful flirting and deep conversations.

17. How my heart felt like it would explode with joy whenever she smiled at me.

18. My appreciation for her bravery in overcoming the challenges of being a feminized male. 

19. My admiration for the beauty of her soul shining through her femininity. 

20. The awe I felt when I realized I had found my true love.
